About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Metrion iPhone app and metrion.fit. “Metrion”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator named in the contact details on this page. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use them.
You must be able to enter into this agreement under the law where you live. If you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use the app or make a purchase, obtain that permission first.
The app is currently in development. Website previews, workout examples, and streaming coach responses are demonstrations using illustrative information. They do not constitute a personal assessment or a promise that every previewed feature will be available on every device.
What Metrion does
Metrion uses the information you authorise in Apple Health, together with your preferences, to help you understand training load, recovery, and your plan. Features depend on your device, software, Health permissions, and the availability and quality of the underlying data.
Readiness scores, fitness estimates, training recommendations, and coaching text are estimates and general information. They can be incomplete or incorrect. A score does not establish that you are safe to exercise, have recovered fully, have a medical condition, or have overtrained. We do not guarantee any particular fitness, performance, weight, or health outcome.
Training and your health
Metrion is not medical advice. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. The app is not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
Use your own judgement and consider how you feel, your experience, and advice from professionals who know your circumstances. Do not ignore pain, symptoms, or medical advice because of an app recommendation. Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you feel unwell. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Coaching may be generated by an on-device AI model or by local templates. AI can make mistakes, and the wording should not be treated as advice from a human clinician or a personal trainer who has examined you.
Your licence and acceptable use
When you download Metrion through the App Store, the app licence is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement unless a different licence is expressly supplied with the app. These terms address the Metrion experience and website in addition to that licence; they do not expand or override Apple’s licence terms.
You may use the website and app for their intended personal purposes. Do not interfere with their operation, try to bypass purchase or security controls, introduce malicious code, misrepresent an affiliation with Metrion, or use them unlawfully. Any restriction on copying, modification, or reverse engineering is subject to rights the law gives you, including applicable interoperability rights and open-source licences.
Metrion’s branding, original design, software, and written content belong to their respective rights holders. Your own health information remains yours; using the app does not transfer ownership of that information to us. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
Free features and subscriptions
The app may offer free features and an optional Metrion Plus subscription. The purchase screen and App Store show the current features, local price, billing period, and any trial or introductory offer before you confirm a purchase. Those displayed details apply to your purchase.
Apple charges your Apple account and manages payment processing. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it before renewal under Apple’s displayed terms. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account’s subscription settings; see Apple’s cancellation instructions. If an offer includes a free or discounted trial, follow the cancellation deadline shown by Apple to avoid the next charge.
Deleting app data, removing Metrion, or stopping use of the app does not cancel a subscription. Access normally continues for the period Apple confirms after cancellation. Restoring purchases depends on the Apple account and entitlements used for the original purchase. Family Sharing is available only where Apple and the purchased product support it.
For an App Store refund request, use Apple’s refund process. This process does not limit any refund, cancellation, or other remedy you are entitled to under applicable consumer law. We do not impose a blanket “no refunds” condition.
If subscription features or prices change, applicable notice and consent requirements apply, including Apple’s renewal rules. A change to this website alone does not authorise a new charge.
Privacy and your data
Our Privacy Policy explains how the app uses Health permissions, processes information on the device, and handles deletion, website requests, and support messages.
You decide which Health permissions to grant. You are responsible for securing your device and managing any device backups you choose to use. Metrion does not provide a cloud backup service. Deleting Metrion’s stored data can remove saved notes and preferences; it does not delete the source records in Apple Health or cancel a subscription.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, or retire features, including to address security, compatibility, or legal requirements. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide any notice, options, and remedies required by law and the applicable purchase terms. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every future device, or that every error will be corrected immediately.
You can stop using Metrion at any time. We may restrict use where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach, or a security risk. Any such action remains subject to your statutory rights and any applicable subscription remedies.
Responsibility and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a guarantee, warranty, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
Subject to those rights, Metrion does not make additional promises that its estimates or recommendations will suit every individual circumstance or produce a particular result. You remain responsible for your training decisions; we remain responsible for obligations the law places on us. We do not exclude liability for our fraud, deliberate misconduct, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
Third-party services
Apple Health, the App Store, Apple account services, and linked websites are operated by their respective providers. Their own terms apply to their services. A link does not mean we control or endorse everything on that website. Apple is not responsible for providing Metrion support simply because the app is distributed through the App Store.
Questions, disputes, and updates
Contact us using the details on this page about support, billing concerns, or a dispute. We will try to resolve concerns directly and fairly. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class-action rights, or prevent you from contacting a regulator or a court you are entitled to use.
Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. Any applicable-law or jurisdiction provision must be read subject to those protections; these terms do not require you to give up a right to bring a claim locally.
We may update these terms as Metrion develops. The effective date appears on this page. We will give notice of material changes where required, and seek agreement where the law requires it. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights or remedies you already have.
